PennEngineering® has expanded its sales channels in Canada by recently signing an agreement with Irwin Industrial to distribute its PEM® fasteners product range.

PEM® brand fasteners utilize self-clinching, broaching, flaring, surface-mount, bonding, or welding technology to provide strong, reusable, and permanent threads, and mounting points, in thin sheet metal, P. C. board, or other rigid material.  "With our history in fasteners and electro-mechanical parts for equipment manufacturers, as well as our focus on engineered solutions, PEM® fasteners was an ideal addition to our offering." Says Brad Jolly, Irwin Product Manager. "Also, we have tremendous local support in Alberta and Quebec with PennEngineering’s representative EMT Engineering, and in Ontario directly with PennEngineering’s Richard Burridge."

Richard Burridge, Regional Manager - Canada, of PennEngineering  had been impressed with Irwin’s strength in vendor-managed inventory programs, and initiated discussions with Irwin Industrial. "Irwin is an established company with a very strong reputation in distribution. They have technical personnel with in-depth design-in experience. Irwin has close and long-term relationships with many OEM customers and prospective customers for our engineered fasteners, especially where their VMI programs are present or planned." Richard said.

The catalogue is always up-to-date, is mobile friendly, and allows access to the entire library of applicable CAD models, dynamically generated and available for email, download, or direct insertion into a wide-range of file formats or CAD software.
