Many of these seals required bonding to metal components, an APM specialty: External environmental sealing boots for switches, potentiometers, encoders, and circuit breakers, cross-linked to mounting nuts. This solution became so popular that APM developed a full standard line of sealing boots under the HEXSEAL™ brand. Millions have been sold worldwide and carry UL recognition with !P 66/68 ratings. Drawing upon over 100 patents as well as their vast experience in precision transfer and injection molding using a wide range of elastomers, metal-to-metal bonding, and coating treatments, APM quickly develops reliable, cost effective seals to meet unique application needs under their FAST-TRACK program.
APM FAST-TRACK prototyping to production is a flexible process to expedite the sealing development cycle. Send the part to be sealed with or without the end product and/or drawings to APM for analysis and they will respond with a seal drawing for review, quotation and prototypes.
APM in-house tool designers fabricate "soft" tooling to quickly provide evaluation parts. This intermediate step speeds time to production, permits fine-tuning of the seal design, and optimizes performance attributes.
On approval of final prototypes, APM's in-house tooling group fabricates prroduction molds to most-efficiently produce your high-quality custom seal with either heat-transfer, injection, or LIM (liquid injection molding) technologies.

Remote Automotive Keyless Entry Control
